I don’t normally comment about my photos, but I really love this photo that
was taken In My Kitchen, #March 2014; it really brightened my day!
Princess What? (from British India, #Adelaide Part 1 & 2 fame, Argentinean Tango Delight and Hello Dolly Lebanese Delight to name a few ) knows I LOVE anything that has to do with fresh produce.
I always make very good use of any excess vegetables or fruits that come from her and Prince Giancarlo.
If anyone in Adelaide has excess fruit and or vegetables that they cannot use, please feel free to contact me as it gives me great pleasure in utilizing extra food, minimizing food wastage and you never know when a cake, a casserole or a pasta dish (with excess donated food) comes your way!
Think of it like Paying It Forward, but with food!
Speaking of food…let’s talk pasta….
I prepared Bucatini with Pesto Trapanese with Spiced Roasted Almonds with Rosemary and Lemon from #Almonds: Recipes History Culture; a cookbook I was asked by Arbon Publishing to review.
Should you wish to read more and another review about Almonds: Recipes History Culture by Barbara Bryant & Betsy Fentress, please head over to my friend Lizzy’s blog —Good Things. (Of course I obtained her permission to share )
While I have never cooked or baked with Quinoa, I have an “absolute fascination” with it and am “keen and eager” to try it in all forms; this is what is in my pantry In My Kitchen, #March 2014.
I only recently tried Pearl Quinoa for the first time last week while enjoying this #European Passion through Homefresh Experience Smiles Cooking Class.
In My Kitchen, #March 2014 is also chef Jean-Claude’s Cookbook that inspired me to recreate his Dark Chocolate Souffle and his wonderful Coq au van; melts in your mouth and is very YUM!
Photos of the Coq au van coming soon via a blog post!
A long time pen pal and good friend from overseas sent me this cookbook “just to brighten my day!”
Like Princess What?, Princess Germany knows HOW E-X-C-I-T-E-D I become around all things food and wine and my “niche” is creating and exploring “mini bite” portions of all world cuisines.
HOW cute is this mini cookbook?
Would you THINK this book is only 4 inches (~2.5 centimetres) tall?
You KNOW my obsession aka EXCITEMENT when it comes to all things gadgets.
In My Kitchen, #March 2014 this month is no different.
These fun-filled cooking adventure gadgets “magically” made their way In My Kitchen, #March 2014.
I LOVE flowers…YOU?
These beautiful roses from my rose ring are In My Kitchen, #March 2014 “brightening” the kitchen and making it smell like everything is “rosy in the kitchen”
too!
Being Irish-American born and bred, I know St. Patrick’s Day is “on its way” and these green shamrock patty pans and shamrock cupcake toppers made their way In My Kitchen, #March 2014.
I’ll let you into a little secret….Princess Svetlana (from Lucky Lemon #Chicken fame) on St. Patrick’s Day will be 50!
Princess Svetlana is my best friend and primary school twin (born in different months lol) and there “may” even be a surprise or two; will have to wait to see what unfolds!
She will SO kill me WHEN she reads this to know she will now is 50 too! Do you ever get a fascination (or obsession ) with a particular food or ingredient?
While the weather has been changing lately, I am looking forward to cooking with McKenzie’s Foods Pearl Barley (A 100% Australian owned company); this “magically” made its way In My Kitchen, #March 2014 and has be Y-E-L-L-I-N-G from my pantry, “PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!!”
Look forward to see what I create soon! Lastly In My Kitchen, #March 2014 are some “beautifully fresh” homegrown plums Princess What? also shared with me.
I have not had a lot of experience with plums other than to enjoy their juicy and mouthwatering taste or perhaps in a pie?
Do YOU think I have a “plum thumb?”
Have any suggestions on what to make with these plums?
There are so many wonderful recipes floating around in Internet land.
If you have a secret (you know I LOVE secrets ) family recipe that you would love to share, I would be “honored and privileged” to try and recreate.
I think THAT would be really GREAT!!!!……YOU?
